The Doubleknot Checkin app for iOS is a component of Doubleknot’s comprehensive cloud-based platform, which offers solutions for event management, facility management, membership administration, and point-of-sale operations tailored for nonprofit and mission-driven organizations. The app is provided free of charge to all Doubleknot users.

Designed for efficiency, the Doubleknot Checkin app facilitates the scanning and validation of tickets, attendee check-in processes, and attendance tracking for events configured within the Doubleknot system. Its mobile functionality allows staff to conduct check-ins from virtually any location, eliminating the need for additional infrastructure.

Utilizing the rear camera of an iOS device, the app can scan QR codes on tickets and membership cards to verify attendance. Additionally, integration with Socket Mobile Bluetooth 2-D barcode scanners provides an alternative method for ticket and membership validation, streamlining the check-in workflow further.

Event participants have flexible options for ticket presentation; they can either print tickets or display them digitally on their smartphones, with the added feature of adding tickets to Apple Wallet for convenience.

To perform a check-in, users simply launch the app, select the Scan option, and hold their iPhone or iPad over the QR code displayed on printed or digital tickets. Once a successful scan is indicated by an audible beep, the individual or group is checked in, and relevant attendee information appears on screen—for personalized greetings or follow-up actions such as addressing outstanding balances.

When using a Socket Mobile Bluetooth scanner, the process is even more streamlined: simply open the app and scan the ticket directly.

It is important to note that the Doubleknot Checkin app functions exclusively with tickets generated within the Doubleknot platform. Additionally, users must possess a valid Doubleknot login with appropriate permissions for event management to access and utilize this tool effectively.
